As a Production Manager for American Water Damage your primary duties are:
General Duties:
1. Recruit, hire, train and manage all WM department production staff
2. Schedule and manage all WM projects from start of job to collection.
3. Hit sales, revenue, COG and A/R goals monthly
4. Ensure all prescribed fleet, warehouse, worksite, safety, and administrative processes and procedures are strictly adhered to at all times.
5. Create, submit, and negotiate project estimates for approval by homeowners and adjusters.
6. Manage and approve labor and material expenses.
7. Schedule and moderate regular meetings with department staff.
8. Manage service and warranty issues as they arise.
Daily Duties:
1. Team Management: Hire and train all new staff. Promote when appropriate and terminate when necessary. Create and manage work schedule including on-call, after-hours, holidays, and weekends. Enforce timecard and documentation process requirements and expectations. Enforce uniform policy. Enforce warehouse and vehicle cleanliness and organization expectations. Promote team, brand and cooperative work environment and culture. Conduct daily briefing with staff.
2. Process Management: Dispatch crews based on daily workload. Review paperwork DAILY to ensure thoroughness, timeliness, and accuracy. Ensure all data entry requirements are performed daily. Review employee timecards daily for accuracy and job allocation as well as monitoring overtime. Ensure estimates are accurately written and submitted for approval by DM within 48 hours of project completion. Manage projects with attention to cost control, superior performance, and customer satisfaction
3. Field Supervision: Visit jobsites randomly and regularly to ensure field personnel are meeting performance, process, safety, and customer expectations at the highest standards possible. Ensure homeowner property is being respected and protected at all times. Ensure field personnel are following proper PPE and jobsite safety requirements. Evaluate job set up and progress. Adjust as necessary.
4. Communication: Be available 24/7 in the absence of an on-call team member. Return all voice messages and emails in the same day as they were received. Maintain required documentation of job progress. Keep customer informed daily of progress and next day plan Immediately inform division manager of escalated issues. Attend regular meetings with management to review backlog, work-in-progress, revenue projections, job- costing, accounts receivable and other related issues.
5. Miscellaneous: Manage and perform service and warranty issues as they arise Hold focused and relevant training meetings with field personnel at least twice per month. Hold regular team safety meetings at least once per month. Seek outside certifications for yourself and your team. Participate and contribute to the growth and success of AWD. Attend staff meetings as required.
Work Schedule: This is a 24/7 operation, and the Production Manager is expected to be available as necessary however the primary work schedule is M-F; 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Some weekends will also be required
